Go, Scala, Node and whatnot - everyone wants a share of Rubys lunch. Are we seeing Rubys decline or just a new phase?

On RubyConf Argentina 2012, I postulated that in 5 years, no one will program Ruby like we did back then. I'd like to revisit that statement on the continent where I made it.
